This Privacy Policy explains what information catboxdownloader.com (“we”, “us”, “the site”) collects when you use it, how that information is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the tool runs in your browser, we don’t store the files you download, and we don’t keep a record of which links you paste.

1. Information we do not collect

• Your files. Files you download travel from catbox.moe to your device. We do not store copies of them.
• Your link history. The links you paste are processed in your browser to start the download. We do not save them to a database or associate them with you.
• Account data. The site has no accounts, so we never ask for your name, email address, or password.

2. Information processed automatically

Like nearly every website, our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure processes standard technical data when you visit: your IP address, browser type, requested URLs, and timestamps. Where the site’s built-in download helper is used, the requested file URL is part of the web request it serves, and may appear in the hosting provider’s standard, short-lived technical logs. These logs exist for security, abuse prevention, and reliability; we do not use them to build profiles of visitors.

3. Cookies and local storage

The site itself sets no tracking cookies. We use your browser’s local storage for exactly one thing: remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice, so we don’t show it again.

Once advertising is active on this site, third-party vendors — including Google — will use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads:

5. Third-party services

• catbox.moe — when you download a file, a request is made to catbox.moe’s servers, which have their own privacy practices. We are not affiliated with catbox.moe.
• Google Fonts — the site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which involves your browser requesting font files from Google’s servers.
• Hosting / CDN — the site is served through a hosting and content-delivery provider, which processes technical request data as described in section 2.

6. Children

The site is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.

7. Data retention

Because we don’t collect personal information, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on request. Technical logs held by our infrastructure providers are retained only for the short periods those providers document.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since we hold none, most requests will have nothing to act on — but if you believe we have information about you, or you have any privacy question, contact us and we will respond.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy — for example, when advertising goes live or if we add new features — we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Meaningful changes will be visible here; we have no mailing list to notify because we don’t collect email addresses.
