Your files

    How it works

    Three steps, zero fuss

Catbox Downloader is a simple front-end for saving files that are hosted on catbox.moe. There is no queue, no account and no upload step — you bring the links, we fetch the files straight to your device.

    1. Paste your links

Drop in one catbox.moe URL, or switch to Bulk list and paste dozens at once. Plain file IDs like abc123.jpg work too.

    2. Choose how to save

Download files individually, or tick “Pack everything into one ZIP” to receive a single tidy archive of the whole batch.

    3. Watch them land

Each file shows live status and progress. Anything that fails — expired Litterbox links, deleted files — is clearly flagged so you know what you got.

    Why this tool

    Small tool, sharp focus

    Bulk-first design

Built for saving whole collections: paste a list, get a ZIP. No copy-pasting links one at a time into new tabs.

    Private by design

Links are processed in your browser and files stream straight to your device. We keep no copies and no logs of what you download.

    Nothing to install

No extension, no desktop app, no signup. It works on desktop and mobile, in any modern browser.

    Litterbox friendly

Temporary litter.catbox.moe links are supported too — handy for grabbing files before they expire.

    Honest error reporting

Deleted or expired files are marked as failed instead of silently skipped, so bulk grabs are verifiable.

    Free, supported by ads

The tool is free to use. Unobtrusive advertising keeps the servers running — no paywalls, no “premium” upsell.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

    What is catbox.moe?

Catbox.moe is a popular free file host. People use it to share images, videos, audio and archives with a short link like files.catbox.moe/abc123.png. Catbox Downloader helps you save those shared files to your own device — especially when there are a lot of them.

Is this site affiliated with catbox.moe?

No. Catbox Downloader is an independent tool and has no affiliation with, or endorsement from, catbox.moe. If you love the host, consider supporting them directly — they run on donations.

Why not just click the link and use “Save As”?

For a single image that works fine. This tool shines when you have many links: it validates the whole list, downloads everything in one pass, shows you exactly which files succeeded or failed, and can pack the batch into a single ZIP so your downloads folder stays tidy.

Is there a limit on file size or count?

You can queue up to 200 links per batch. Catbox itself caps uploads at 200 MB per file, so every catbox file is downloadable here. For very large batches we recommend un-ticking the ZIP option so files save as they finish.

Do you store the files or my links?

No. Files stream through to your device and are never stored by us, and we don’t keep logs tying links to visitors. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.

Why did a file fail to download?

The usual reasons: the file was deleted from catbox, the link has a typo, or it was a temporary Litterbox upload that expired (those live for 1 hour to 3 days). Occasionally catbox itself has downtime — trying again later often works.

Can I download an entire catbox album?

Album pages (catbox.moe/c/…) don’t expose their file list to third-party sites, so paste the individual file links instead: open the album, copy the file URLs, and drop them into the Bulk list tab.

Is it legal to download catbox files?

Downloading a file someone shared with you is normally fine, but the content itself may be protected by copyright. Only download files you have the right to access and keep. You are responsible for how you use the tool — see our Terms of Use.

    Tips for smooth bulk downloads

Browsers are cautious about pages that save many files at once. If you download a large batch without the ZIP option, your browser may ask once for permission to “download multiple files” — allow it and the rest of the batch flows automatically. With the ZIP option enabled there is only ever one download, so no prompt appears at all.

ZIPs are assembled in your browser’s memory, so for batches that add up to more than a couple of gigabytes, split the list into a few smaller boxes or switch to individual downloads. And if you’re saving temporary Litterbox files, do it sooner rather than later — once they expire, no downloader on earth can bring them back.
